We were appointed by Newcastle City Council to provide cost advice to assist the Council in developing their successful Stage 1 bid to the Heritage Lottery Fund into a detailed £2,500,000 HLF Stage 2 bid. The project involves the historic restoration and refurbishment of this vital community resource and will include improving visitor experiences of the park by upgrading footpaths, restoring original boundaries, creating a new café/visitor facility, restoring a range of monuments and memorials, and soft landscaping features. The project will also see the installation of a multi-use games area, improved changing and play facilities, as well as improvement works to the dry lake and public amphitheatre.
